The Morning Rant
"You gotta love the Democratic candidates' debate. One Democratic candidate says we need to pay long-overdue reparations to black people. A second Democratic candidate comes along and says we need to pay reparations to black people, and cancel student loan debt. A third Democratic candidate says we need to pay reparations to black people, cancel student loan debt, and also give every one free college. A fourth says, yes we need reparations paid to black people, cancel all the student loan debt, given every one free college, and also pay reparations to homosexuals. A fifth says, yes let's pay reparations to black people, cancel all the student loan debt, make college free for all, also pay reparations to homos, and open the borders to everyone. And the next one says, yes let's pay reparations to black people, cancel all the student loan debt, make college free for all, pay reparations to homos, open up the borders to everyone, and shower benefits on all the immigrants who are flooding in from the south. Of course, the more of these entitlements they pile on, the fewer normal Americans will support their agenda. In fact, it's like the Democrats are all competing with each other to see how many Americans they can drive away from the party. And of course, the nadir of the debates was certifiable moron Julian Castro trying to extend abortion rights to trans women. Like they have actual uteruses. The kicker here is not that he said something ridiculously stupid, politicians say stupid things all the time, it's not that the audience applauded like trained seals, it's that he wasn't called on it. The normal response to such an idiotic remark would be something like, 'WTF are you talking about, you witless boob?' But *not one* of the debate moderators, whose self-appointed job it is to keep America informed, guardians and protectors of the 1st amendment, speakers of truth to power, yada yada yada, saw fit to ask even a clarifying question. No, they all just went on like everything was normal and Castro's answer made perfect sense, nothing to see here, move along. The quicker these national media propaganda mills crash and burn, the better off we'll be."

Friday's celebs: Charlotte Rampling and Dirk Bogarde, who were both in the 1969 movie The Damned. That was the connection I had in mind. However:

Charlotte Rampling and Dirk Bogarde, separately yet together in "The Night Porter".

So this is like a math equation with two solutions. And actually, JJ can argue that his connection is a stronger one because Rampling and Bogarde were the stars of the move he found. Not so in mine, where Rampling had a much smaller role.
