"Well, just when you think the GOP has finally gotten everything under control, they go and step on their own d*cks. Again. Here is their latest f*ck-up: Mitch McConnell has just introduced a bill which would increase the minimum age to buy cigarettes and other tobacco products from 18 to 21 years. When I first heard about this, I smacked myself in the forehead so hard, the slope disappeared. I mean, is federal intervention is such matters really necessary? That's quite a silly display of nanny-statism. Apparently, the several states aren't competent enough to handle these things for themselves but require the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-benevolent FedGov to make these decisions for them. Sounding like quite the alarminst, Cocaine Mitch said, quote, the health of our children is literally at stake, unquote. The panic implied in this statement rivals AOC's claim that "the world is going to end in 12 years" if we don't immediately mandate buttplugs for cows and outlaw economic prosperity. Never mind the fact that 18-year-olds are scarcely children. Never mind the fact that these same 18-year-olds are eligible for military service, so even though they can be shipped off to foreign soil and die in combat, they can't buy their own cigarettes. Soon, liquor stores all across America will be festooned with crowds of 18-21 year old "children" asking adults to buy cigarettes for them. But bigger than any of that, though, does anybody really want this? Does anyone recall hearing any calls for legislation about this from normal Americans? I thought the purpose of the federal government was to maintain post roads and collect tariffs from surly foreigners, not to post inspectors in every lavoratory to make sure you wiped your butt good enough. C'mon, Mitch, it's time to focus on what's really important: confirming more of Presidents Trump judicial picks so that perhaps there will be a chance that this country can be restored to some semblance of sanity, and also doing whatever it takes to insure that our borders are not overrun by surly foreigners who don't want to pay tariffs. Let the states make their own laws about tobacco usage, and the federal government can just butt the hell out. After all, the 10th Amendment shouldn't be that hard to understand."

-Fenelon’s son seems to be doing a little better, thanks be to God and thx for prayers. Prayers are much appreciated for continued progress so he can go back to college in July.

-Agitator has been able to sit comfortably after his surgery but still has pain when walking. Continued prayer is much appreciated

Job Needs:

Fenelon’s congregant “D” is waiting to hear about a job interview he had two weeks so prayers for that would also be appreciated

4/14-OldDoginMO’s wife is back in the hospital with infection. Please continue to pray for her for healing and for strength for she and OldDog and their family too.

4/14-OldRadarTech had extensive surgery including a “mushroom” to replace end of lower arm and also got thirteen screws and a plate to keep things in place. He appreciates the prayers and aks for prayers for healing for as much use of his arm and hand as possible.

4/22-ibguy reports that his friend’s wife, Debbie K, passed away on April 22nd of 4th stage lung cancer. Prayers for comfort and support for family and friends at this very difficult time

5/1-Cheribebe says cancer is spreading. She needs new cancer chemo regimen which is very expensive and asks for prayers to God for healing as well as help regarding finances.

5/13 Hrothgar’s friend, a hospice counselor exposed to muriatic acid fumes which damaged lungs and throat. Getting trouble in seeing a competent physician and still having effects from previous car accident-not her fault. Prayers for access to health care and speedy recover

5/13 Fox2!- friend MaryBeth just diagnosed with aggressive form of bladder cancer-not best candidate for best option of Immunotherapy treatment.

5/14 redc1c4- His dad is going to City of Hope in Duarte, one of the best cancer treatment places in LA area for cancer treatment. Prostrate cancer advanced to level 3. Mom can visit via public transportation and freeway is convenient for local family. Prayers for skill and wisdom for doctors, healing and strength for family.

5/14-Grumpy’s friend Rhett fell off roof, broke 3 ribs and wrist and has lacerated liver. Now in rehab. Needs prayers for healing.

5/14-James Madison is having four wisdom teeth removed today. Prayers for successful surgery and healing and help with any pain from surgery.

5/14-Kraken’s friend died, and Kraken’s dog of 12 years died as well. Prayers for all concerned.

5/14-Tami’s daughter had cancer surgery, Prayers for complete healing.

5/21-VN Red Leg Recently had prostrate removed. Surgery was successful but cancer has gotten into lymph nodes. Waiting until July 1st for next PSA test to see if he needs radiation and hormone therapy, Will be meeting with doctor and nurse on 30th to discuss next step. Praying for mercy and healing.

-Prayers for Slapweasel, Parents have moved in with him. Mom had stroke in June. Dad has dementia and doesn’t know where he is sometimes, Slap is caring for them so he needs prayer as well He also needs a donor for a liver transplant.

-BuckIV need prayer for his sister also has breast cancer which has metastasized to bones. Also, Buck himself asked for prayers that bladder cancer not progress to worse type.

-Renningantx asked for prayers for his uncle Jimmy who had been cancer free for 12 years but aggressive cancer has Prayers for complete healing.

-LadyL asked for prayers for healing for a dear friend, Jean, who has had a recurrence of Mantle Cell Lymphoma, which is an aggressive cancer and hard to treat

-Prayers of complete healing needed for Nora Elizabeth, great niece of Mrs. Leggy. Nora Elizabeth is a baby has brain tumors and will need a year of chemo at the least.

-USNtakim is having a lot of mobility issues and his wife is in pain every day. Please pray that some treatment become available to help lessen this pain and these conditions.
Prayers of healing for Blaster’s 17 year old son and 13 year old daughter who are having depression and anxiety issues

3/23-Soc_rat_eeze still recovering after colostomy. Asked for prayers for clearance of pulmonary embolism, early and successful reversal of colostomy, general recovery of strength and fitness. Waiting for treatment for lung embolism so he can hopefully go for reversal of colostomy surgery in 3 to 6 months. Prayers for complete healing and strength for Mrs. Eeze who has been carrying the load while he’s been sick Soc_rat_eeze is grateful for all the prayers which he felt were uplifting him.

4/2-Lurker Terri asked for prayer for her cousin’s adult son, DE, who has a condition called crypto for the last 6 months and has not responded to treatment. Can’t eat regular food and has been in the hospital. Prayers for healing for DE and peace for understandably distraught mom.

4/3-Prayers asked for Jane D’oh’s dear friend, SU. SU is dying after fighting years of various forms of cancer. Requested in-home hospice care and quit medications. Wants to die peacefully and as painlessly as possible. Prayers for peaceful passing and comfort for family, friends, church, and community.

4/8-Poster “Rarity” asked for prayers for her friend’s young adult daughter who was recently diagnosed with cancer. Surgery to remove it was unsuccessful and now additional tumor was found in lung, Prayers for healing and that family and friends be able to fight this.

4/10-Kitsabass’ stepdaughter had emergency appendectomy. Within a week Mrs. Kitsabass had to go to the emergency room for kidney stones. Needed surgery for parathyroid issues and has used up annual and sick leave. Prayers for healing and rough places made smooth.

4/17 -Anon y mouse’s wife, Mrs. Mouse, had high blood pressure related to cyst on kidney and pressure on kidney and adrenal gland. Prayers for healing

4/18-Prayers for TonyPete’s friend, Kate, who lost her husband at a young age (27) to cancer and just recently lost her two little girls in a tragic accident.

4/22-Average Guy’s 19 year old son admitted himself to psychiatric care after a suicide attempt. He has been dealing with depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts for several years. Prayers for healing.

4/24- Juliette aka “Baldilocks” struggling to pay utilities. Asks for prayers for financial resources to do that.

4/30-Farmer had a bad fall and break in ankle and is in hospital. Long recovery so prayers for healing are much appreciated

4/30-Phoenixgirl’daughter is finishing up finals and an internship. Boyfriend “broke her heart”. Prayers for both of them.

5/1-Hikaru’s friend had diving accident. Breathing tubes are out but still on oxygen in hospital. Prayers for healing

5/1 -turambur has been out of work since mid December after having colon cancer last December. Needs job, but situation is tough for someone over 55

5/1-Cicero having prostate biopsy today. Prayers needed and appreciated, Don’t have an update.

5/4-Infidel’s niece, Sadie, in ICU on ventilator.

5/7-Pug Mahon’s asked for prayers for his sister who has had a recurrence of Lyme disease and whose kidneys are failing.

5/7-Friend of Count De Monet, Evette B., gynecological cancer just diagnosed. Blood cot from tumor got into lungs. 2 weeks in ICU and had numerous blood clots and pneumonia. In long term care while doctors prepare her for chemo radiation and surgery. She is fragile and doesn’t want to fight it. Prayers for healing and strength.

5/7-Flounder’s mother-in-law needs prayers for healing. Glioblastoma has continued growing since February. Growth was always cancerous and expected to be. 2nd occurrence. Family is shaken by the unexpected news. Mother-in-law will be having follow-up radiation. Flounder family had moved in to stay with mother-in-law. Continued prayers and well wishes appreciated.

5/8-Emperor Country Boy needs guidance, direction, energy, strength, patience, and motivation for work situation.

Wednesdays are days in which mothers in the horde and anyone else says special prayers for children of horde members. Please include the grandchildren as well.

Please note; Prayer requests are generally removed after five weeks or so unless I receive an update. This in NOT because we don’t care; It’s simply because of lack of space. Updates as well as thanks for answered prayer and new prayer requests are always welcomed.
