White House Invokes Executive Privilege to Protect Unredacted Mueller Report, Tells Nadler and Schiff lol get fucked
The White House had threatened to do just this if the sexually ambiguous duo didn't stop playing games in demanding the White House perform an illegal act (such as releasing grand jury testimony).
From PJ Media's Morning Briefing:
First up, we have the House Intelligence Committee led by the very unhinged Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff who wants the DoJ to turn over all the underlying documents and an unredacted version of the Mueller report to congress. They are getting ready to issue a subpoena. (A copy of the report with everything other than the grand jury testimony is available but no Democrats have gone to view it. Clearly, a priority.)
...
What time is it? It's privilege o'clock at the DoJ. The Justice Department says it will move to have sections of the Mueller Report protected by executive privilege if Rep. "Fat Jerry" Nadler of the House Judiciary Committee doesn't stop quacking about a contempt of congress charge.
In a letter to New York Rep. Jerrold Nadler, the ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd said the department would “request that the President invoke executive privilege” over the unredacted parts of the Mueller report.
Barr offered to work with congress regarding the parts of the report that were publicly withheld, but congressional Democrats are more interested in forcing Barr to bend to their will and violate the law. They know Barr isn't going to do that so the Democrats get what the want which is an occasion to grand stand how Barr is hiding all the smoking guns in the report that shattered their impeachment dreams.
And now the White House has asserted executive privilege:
If you can't read that, here's a pertinent section:
"The American people see through Chairman Nadler's desperate ploy to distract from the President’s historically successful agenda and our booming economy," Sanders writes. "Neither the White House nor Attorney General Barr will comply with Chairman Nadler's unlawful and reckless demands."
Underemployed Twitter Troll Bill Kristol released this very misleading video of Marco Rubio demanding the Attorney General be fired for not disclosing documents, only acknowledging this is from 2012, about Eric Holder, at the very end.
Some other things the attention-seeking, leftist-donation-harvesting 70-year-old-juvenile-punk doesn't disclose? That Barr has actual statutory law not just permitting him to protect grand jury testimony but mandating it, whereas Holder didn't release documents just because he didn't wanna.
Also, the House waited 450 days -- 450 days of stonewalling and open, well, contempt -- before hitting him with that contempt of Congress citation.
Not 43 days, as is the case here.
