The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

This is where the ignorance of our history and the Constitution makes the debate over the 2nd Amendment so frustrating. Here is a sheriff (from 2017) making a tactical point about the typical self defense shooting and the need for more than five or six rounds. But if the Left and the Media get a hold of this quotation they will twist it and turn it and torture it into meaning exactly what they want it to mean, which is: "Guns are bad, and only the government should have them!"

Any student of the Constitution or our founding or anyone who knows how to read English will immediately realize that the 2nd Amendment does not speak to anything other than codifying our natural right to self defense and defense against tyranny.

I happen to disagree with the sheriff (although he makes a defensible point), and if I lived in his neck of the woods and carried a revolver, after reading this comment I would immediately switch to a double-stack 9mm and carry two extra magazines...because implicit in the United States Constitution and the 2nd Amendment is the concept that Americans do not like being told what to do.

A Venn diagram of gun-haters and Leftist/Progressives would look suspiciously like a circle. And that suggests an ulterior motive.

Can anyone guess what that might be?
