The Morning Rant: J.V. Edition
I don't know President Trump. I've never met him, never seen him, and the closest I ever got was working for a company that was employed by one of his real estate companies. But his public persona is not subtle, and it veritably screams "Alpha Male." So the assumption made (or the lie told) by the media and the NeverTrump pundits and the craven, money-grubbing scumbags (Rick Wilson is the best example) that Donald Trump is an agent of the Russian government...taking his marching orders from Vladimir Putin...is an illogical and counter-intuitive idea.
Look around at any strong-willed man* in your world, and you will see someone who chafes at being under the control of others. That's not anything particularly perceptive. It's sort of the definition of "Alpha Male." And President Trump has made a life of doing pretty much what he feels like, often bucking the trends, and certainly pushing back forcefully against the advice of others. And why is that? Because, like other "Alpha Males," he simply doesn't like being told what to do. Is he sometimes a caricature of the "Alpha Male?" Sure. Going after every piss-ant little Twitter pundit (Bill Kristol masturbates to the faint possibility of Trump tweeting at him) who takes a shot at him seems a bit much, but in reality that is the point. He is simply turning it up to 11.
"DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" or..."CHALLENGE ME AND I WILL CRUSH YOU, CUT YOUR HEART OUT AND FEED IT TO THE PIGS."
Seems reasonable. And in character. So explain to me why President Trump is happy to be at the beck and call of another country and another world leader?
Yeah...I thought so.
*Shut your PC mouth. Women are different, and strong-willed women control their environments differently.

There is a huge amount of health advice available on the internet, and I doubt more than a few percent of it is worth a damn. As in most things, people conflate anecdotes with data, but health is near and dear to us, so there is the added emotional draw of many of these sites.
As much as we all want to believe in the latest health fad or cancer cure or "Drink this to avoid Alzheimers," without rigorous scientific testing, it doesn't mean much.
So take a look at this site, called Taking the Mystery Out of Breast Cancer, created by a long-time reader and commenter. It is a cut above most, and while there are untested ideas and suggestions, the creator makes very clear that...
The more I learned before the treatment and upcoming side effects, the more prepared I was to handle it. Keep in mind that these are my experiences. Each and every one of us will have a different experience and varying treatments depending on the stage the breast cancer was found and what type. Always consult your Oncologist and specialists for your particular dietary needs, prescriptions and care. My personal choices were my own that I am sharing, not advocating for. It is up to you embrace this new challenge and fight it. You can do it. We each have our own story. Share it.

Anyone with even a passing knowledge of the rise of Nazism knows that they didn't start off with gas chambers. It began with segregating and killing the so-called undesirables of society: the infirm, the mentally ill, the retarded, the sickly. Or as Heinrich Heine said....
Where they burn books, they will ultimately also burn people
Connecticut Poised To Make It Easier To Kill The Mentally Ill
And the Left just loves to burn books, or the modern-day equivalent: otherizing dissenting opinions on social media.
