Pressured by Feminists, Google Conducts Pay Analysis to Discover If Women Are Being Paid Less Than Men for Equivalent Work;
Study Concludes Women are Paid More for Equal Work
Well that didn't work out the way the feminist dogma and holy texts prophesized it would.
A New York Times article, viewable on Outline.com.
There's a kicker:
Google's latest pay analysis was conducted as the company defends itself against accusations that it systematically underpays women. It is the subject of both a Labor Department investigation into gender pay inequality, and a potential class-action lawsuit covering roughly 8,300 current and former female employees who say the company pays women less than men who do similar work.
...
When Google conducted a study recently to determine whether the company was underpaying women and members of minority groups, it found that more men than women were receiving less money for doing similar work.
The surprising conclusion to the latest version of the annual study contrasted sharply with the experience of women working in Silicon Valley and in many other industries.
In response to the finding, Google gave $9.7 million in additional compensation to 10,677 employees for this year. Men account for about 69 percent of the company's work force, but they received a disproportionately higher percentage of the money.
A lot of Google dudes are going to upgrade their TVs this month and they can thank feminists for the extra money!
