Early GAINZZZ Thread/Low Carb Recipe Bleg Thread
I'm in a busted fast -- I went four full days of fasting (Tuesday through Saturday), then I got panicky that I was going to do damage to myself and the panic spiraled until I broke the fast, first with not-so-unhealthy chicken noodle soup, and then with the greasiest carbiest Chinese food that $60 could buy.
Then I felt like a total dick and total pussy for having gotten panicky and permitted that as an excuse to break the fast, so I threw out what was left of the food (which wasn't a lot, tbh -- I went train on that fucking Chinese food) and restarted the fast Sunday.
So Tuesday through Friday fasting, EAT ALL THE CARBS Saturday, then Sunday through today fasting again.
That makes today Day 3 (again), which is always a real bastard of a day for me. So I've had to go through the really tough Day 3 twice in a week.
I'm thinking about what delicious but low-carb/keto things I can eat when I break fast.
So, talk about YO GAINZZZ here, generally, of any kind.
And also, if you've got some favorite low carb/keto recipes, please let me know. Links to online recipes, whatever.
I'm looking for really good stuff to start making when I break the fast.
One thing I can't find online: a recipe for low-carb fried clam strips, using crushed pork rinds as a "breading." I don't know if the lack of a recipe for this means that this just won't work, or if the lack of a recipe just means, "It's the same as every other recipe where you substitute crushed pork rinds for breading, stupid. Use your imagination."
Anyone have any ideas?
Also, while I've found a lot of recipes for low-carb fried chicken (using almond flour, parmesan, and crushed pork rinds for "breading"), I wondering if anyone has one they would say is the best. The most like KFC, or the most like Popeyes.
Also -- what would the best oil be for it? Buttermilk and egg for the wash, or just egg?
I found a "fried rice" recipe using riced cauliflower -- anyone have any suggestions for how to prepare pork so I can cut it up and make pork fried riced cauliflower?
I'm also really jonesing for batter-fried cod or flounder. Or a McDonald's style Filet-O-Fish. Basically any excuse to deploy some tartar sauce.
