"Veep" Writer: We Based Some of the Awful Behavior of Our Show's Unpleasant Main Character On Rumors We Heard About Amy Klobuchar

One rumor they heard a "million times" -- that Amy Klobuchar actually made her staffers shave her legs for her.

They tried to work that into the show, but it was too absurd.

Is it true? Well, let me apply the same standard to Amy Klobuchar as she applied to Brett Kavanaugh: If someone said it, fuck yeah it's true!

But apparently the terrible, terrible character "Selina Meyers" was partly based on Amy Klobuchar.

Such a nasty woman.
