The Morning Rant: J.V. Edition
Sounds good to me. And in return we will reject the rule of law and due process and religious tests for public office and discrimination laws and...
Lenin was correct...we are selling them the rope with which to hang us.* That we welcome a culture into our country that consciously and actively rejects everything we stand for, have worked for and died for, is simply insane. We cannot apply American standards of fairness and generosity and notions of goodness at the borders. We have to be ruthless, just like we used to be in the past. The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, Ted Kennedy's gift to America, might be its destruction.
New Jersey: Imam says Muslims should reject "freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press"
Mateen Khan also explains how the “clever” Jews fooled the Europeans into thinking they were “one of them.” Does Mateen Khan believe in violent jihad, and that non-Muslims should be subjugated under Islamic law as dhimmis, and that Sharia should ultimately replace the U.S. Constitution? What do you think?
That sounds like sedition. I wonder if it is still illegal?
*Yeah..he probably didn't say it, but still...

The guy makes some really good points in this video, and it is hard to refute them. I am uncomfortable with the idea of granting voting rights based on military service, but it does make logical sense.
Make Voting Harder ... Not Easier.

Don't be fooled by the rosy picture painted by the idiot crook mayor of NYC. The crime statistics look good because they have decriminalized, by law or de facto, many behaviors that simply don't belong in a civil society. New York City is getting more dangerous, dirtier, less interesting, more congested (screw you bike lanes!) and more expensive, all while de Blasio babbles incoherently about redistribution of wealth and fairness and equality and blah...blah...blah.
Bill de Blasio and the Return of Disorder
Gotham is in the throes of disorder. Law-abiding New Yorkers, no matter their race, ethnicity, sex, or socioeconomic strata, find themselves harassed by growing vagrancy, petty criminality, and social decay. Nowhere is this more evident than in New York City's public and quasi-public spaces.
The saddest part of the descent into madness that de Balsio is overseeing is that the worst parts of it fall on the poor. 5th Ave. and Rockefeller Center will always be clean and safe, but Brownsville and East New York and Fort Washington will get more dangerous for the people least able to afford to get the hell out.
