« New York Times Hosting College Get-Out-the-Vote Event With Bernie Sanders Because of Course They Are | Main | An Accusation Is Made... Against Julie Swetnick »
October 02, 2018

Kavanaugh's "Third Accuser," the Creepy Porn Lawyer's Catspaw, is a "Real Beaut"

That's not Trump saying it, it's the Associated Press. In so many words.

Some details of the legal disputes she's been involved in aren't known, because documents in the cases are incomplete or no longer available. Records in the lawsuit filed in late 2000 by her ex-employer, Oregon-based software company Webtrends, don't indicate why it was dismissed. [Creepy Porn Lawyer] said there was a settlement in the case but no money changed hands.

In its civil complaint in a state court in Oregon, the company said Swetnick, a software engineer, was an employee for a few weeks before its human resources department received a report that she had engaged in "unwelcome sexual innuendo and inappropriate conduct" toward two male co-workers at a business lunch.

The lawsuit said that Swetnick in turn accused Webtrends of subjecting her to "physically and emotionally threatening and hostile conditions" and that she claimed that she'd been sexually harassed by four co-workers. The co-workers denied the allegations, the suit said.

Company officials later determined, the suit said, that Swetnick had provided false information on her employment application. The suit alleged that she had misrepresented the length of time she worked at a previous employer and falsely claimed that she'd earned an undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from Johns Hopkins University.

Her lawyer, [Creepy Porn Lawyer], said that "whether she has a college degree or not does not matter as to whether she is a sexual assault victim."

...

Swetnick was on the other side of a civil case in 1994, as a plaintiff, when she filed a personal injury lawsuit in Maryland against the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. She claimed she lost more than $420,000 in earnings after she hurt her nose in a fall on a train in 1992.

Swetnick, who described herself in court records as a model and actor, claimed she had "numerous modeling commitments" with several companies at the time of the accident but missed out them because of her injuries.

To support her claim for lost wages, Swetnick named "Konam Studios" as one of the companies promising to employ her. A court filing identified Nam Ko, a representative of "Kunam Studios," as a possible plaintiff's witness for her case.

Ko, however, told AP on Friday that he was just a friend of Swetnick's and that he had never owned a company with a name spelled either way and had never agreed to pay her money for any work before she injured her nose. He said he first met Swetnick at a bar more than a year after her alleged accident.

"I didn't have any money back then. I (was) broke as can be," Ko said.

Ko said he has a hazy memory of Swetnick asking to use him as a "character reference" but doesn't recall hearing about her lawsuit.

"I thought it was for a job application," he said.

In answer to questions about the suit, [Creepy Porn Lawyer] said: "This is all hearsay. ... None of this is relevant, not one bit."

The paperwork filed in the suit includes a letter addressed to Swetnick's attorney from Richard Zamora, who is identified as a marketing executive from a San Jose, California-based company called Fiber Sign Inc. In the letter, dated March 1994, Zamora said the company had been prepared to hire Swetnick as a model and spokeswoman and pay her a $60,000 base salary but offered the job to someone else after learning of her accident.

Zamora later asked a court in Florida for a restraining order against Swetnick. The remaining court records don't show the reasons he gave for asking for the restraining order, but indicate that the case was dropped less than two weeks later when neither party appeared in court.

Zamora, who now goes by Richard Vinneccy, declined to comment to AP this week about the letter or the nature of the relationship he'd had with Swetnick.

Avenatti said the request for a restraining order was "nonsense."

So Zamora/Vinneccy claimed, at the time, that he was offering Swetnick a $60,000 per year salary for modeling work. I'm pretty sure that models are not generally offered salaries, but are instead independent contracts paid-per-gig. I also don't believe a "Fiber Sign" company would hire a full-time model.

To... model its Fiber Signs? Using the same model to... wear its Fiber Signs?

In any event, Zamora/Vinneccy was her boyfriend, which might suggest that he just made a false claim for her scam lawsuit as a favor.

Or perhaps she deceived him -- her friend "Ko" said that she tricked him into claiming that he -- "broke" as hell -- had offered her a huge contract for her modeling abilities, telling him she only wanted the fake offer to help her land a job.

And then he got a restraining order against her because he claimed she threatened to kill either his unborn child or he and his family after their break up. He says now she has zero credibility and in fact implies that she's a lunatic.

He also says Swetnick assaulted him.

He also says she had "never, ever" mentioned any kind of accusation of the kind she now alleges against Kavanaugh to him, despite being in a seven year relationship.

He says he changed his number and moved to escape her harassment.

NBC, meanwhile, conducted a softball Hero Interview with Swetnick, but still had to admit she had offered zero evidence for her claims and shifted her story still further during the interview.

Remember, Creepy Porn Lawyer's earlier representation of his client's claim was that she had been gang-raped by Brett Kavanaugh. When she finally issued her statement, she did not claim Brett Kavanaugh raped her -- in fact, she wasn't even sure he was present at the alleged gang-rape party.

And now? Her story mutates still further.

"NBC News, for the record, has not been able to independently verify her claims," Snow says. She continued, "There are things that she told us on camera that differ from her written statement last week. We've been trying independently to reach out to anyone who remembers attending parties with Julie Swetnick and Brett Kavanaugh and we’ve been asking her attorney for names, so far we've not found anyone who remembers that."

...

So what about the marquee allegation, i.e. that Kavanaugh participated in gang rapes. Tonight, Swetnick said she saw boys congregating outside rooms but adds, "I didn't know what was occurring." It wasn’t until she was (allegedly) gang-raped herself that she realized what must have been going on.

Snow tries to make sense of this: "So you're suggesting that, in hindsight, you think he was involved in this behavior?"

In hindsight?

"I would say yes," Swetnick says, adding, "It's just too coincidental."

You're making this claim based on your estimate of conincidence?

She tells the story of her own assault as being violated by several men. Snow asks if Kavanaugh was among them. "I cannot specifically say that he was one of the ones who assaulted me but before this happened to me at that party I saw Brett Kavanaugh there," Swetnick says. She adds, "If Brett Kavanaugh was one of those people that did this to me there is no way in the world that he should go scot-free on this and that he should be on the Supreme Court."

She's saying if Brett Kavanaugh is involved in gang rape, then he's a gang-rapist?

If?

Like: If Chuck Schumer committed a murder, then he's a murderer?

And here's her presentation of evidence:

Swetnick says she told her mother at the time, but her mother is now deceased. She also claims she reported it to the Montgomery County police but the person she says took the report is also deceased (though he was apparently a real cop working around this time frame). The police told NBC it could take a month to see if there is a police report on this.

...

Finally, Swetnick is asked for the names of anyone who can back up her story. She apparently gave NBC four names. One of the four told NBC they don't know Jule Swetnick, one was deceased, and the last two didn’t respond.

So three -- Three! -- of the people she claims can corroborate her story are conveniently dead, one says they don't even know Julie Swetnick, and two aren't answering.

Incredibly, Susan Collins is now demanding that the FBI investigate these farcical allegations.

Is that because she's trying to tank Kavanaugh but doesn't want to admit to her Republican voters that she will never vote in favor of a conservative-majority Court -- Abortion Is Sacred! -- or because she just wants to be able to tell her moderate/liberal female voters she was in favor of the fullest investigation possible, or because she knows that an investigation into this loon would tend to discredit all the other allegations?

I don't know. I think the last possibility is the least likely, though.

This woman suborned perjurious statements in order to buttress a scam slip-and-fall lawsuit. She's already tried to game the legal system -- we're supposed to take any of her claims seriously?

Below, Laura Ingraham's interview with Zamora/Vinneccy, and Kate Snow's softball interview with Swetnick.

Note that Swetnick just seems to be regurgitating the claims the other accuser have made: She claims, for example, she saw him "pushing girls up against the wall," which echoes the absurd anonymous accusation by an anonymous mom relayed to her by her anonymous daughter that she saw Brett Kavanaugh push an anonymous woman against the wall.

She claims she heard Kavanaugh and Judge "laughing" about what was going on in what she now guesses was a rape room, echoing Ford's claim about the two "laughing" at their alleged attempted first-degree groping.

She claims she saw Kavanaugh attempting to "shift" girl's clothing -- a bizarre and weird claim; who has ever alleged someone tried to "shift" a girl's clothing before? -- except that it just happens to track with Ford's claim that Kavanaugh tried to remove (or shift) her clothing.

She also claims that she just happened to see Kavanaugh as a "sloppy" drunk, tracking with the Democrats' Plan B allegations that he was a sloppy drunk and perjured himself in denying this.

Oh, except he didn't deny that -- he admitted drinking too much. He only denied getting black-out, amnesiac drunk.

Then, to make sure that allegation is covered, she makes it explicit and claims he was in fact a "black-out drunk," though how she would know what he remembers is left to the viewer's imagination.

Did she talk to him the next day and quiz him about his memories of the night before? Or does she claim she can spot someone who will experience memory loss the next day just based on body language?

Then she adds that he's a "drug addict" -- that's a new one.

It just so happens that she's the Miracle Corroborator. I bet by the end of the week she claims that Brett Kavanaugh invented the Devil's Triangle and it involves FFFfucking three girls at the same time, or maybe boofFFFing them.

Update: I would speculate this woman is being coached. I would speculate further that she is being coached away from pressing her own claims -- as a tactical decision has been made she is not credible enough to support her own claims -- and is now being coached to claim she can corroborate the claims made by others.
