So...about 25 years ago, when I was four-years old we were living in Ann Arbor, in a small house near campus. My father decided that the tree in the middle of the back yard needed trimming, and he was just the man to do it. Yes, he climbed it, began to trim the offending branches and promptly fell out of the tree, dislocating his patella on the way down. I gravely walked over to him and said, "Daddy, that's not how you climb trees!"

The Morning Rant: Middle School Edition
