Wisconsin Supreme Court Rules that Conservative Professor Was Wrongly Suspended and Must Be Given His Job Back

The professor went seven semesters, three and a half years, without pay.

This isn't a win. Their goal is to punish you with process. Most people could not go four years without a paycheck; I don't know how this guy managed it.

End all state and federal subsidies to Marquette University and see how they manage without paychecks.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court ordered Marquette University to "immediately reinstate" political science professor John McAdams on Friday after a four-year legal battle over McAdams' criticism of a graduate student-teacher on his conservative blog.

McAdams refused to apologize for the blog post and was suspended from teaching at the Jesuit university without pay. He will be awarded damages and back pay by the Milwaukee County Circuit Court according to the state Supreme Court’s ruling, reported the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

...

McAdams wrote a blog post criticizing former grad student instructor Cheryl Abbate on his self-described "independent" and "skeptical" campus news blog, The Marquette Warrior, in November 2014. The professor wrote the post after a student complained to him that Abbate had told the student to drop her philosophy class after refusing to let him discuss his views on gay marriage in class.

McAdams linked Abbate's contact information in the post, and she received "dozens" of emails that she said made her feel unsafe, reported the Journal Sentinel.

They always claim they feel "unsafe" due to criticism and that's why you can't criticize them. (They can criticize you, of course.)

The media is claiming that the shooting at the Capital Gazette, which had nothing to do with politics or Trump, now makes criticism of the media too unsafe and you are therefore forbidden from criticizing them.

CNN Femmy Thumb Chris Cilizza has a hysterical "news report" up headlined "The 11 most dangerous things Donald Trump said in his Montana speech." I added the italics.

Among the things he claims are too dangerous to any longer say:

1. "She gets special treatment under the Justice Department. ... Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. She gets special treatment under the Justice Department."

Trump is talking here, of course, about Hillary Clinton. He's interrupted in his attack by chants of "lock her up" from the crowd. Trump's undermining of the Justice Department -- which he has done on an almost-daily basis since winning the White House -- is deeply dangerous to how people perceive those who are tasked with enforcing our laws. When the President of the United States insists the Justice Department is biased and can't be trusted, it erodes one of the long-standing pillars of civil society.

This is the same CNN that acted as Black Lives Matter's PR firm in promoting the "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" hoax. Was that too dangerous to say, Chrissie? Given that it undermined one of the long-standing pillars of civil society, local police forces?

Always remember: Your speech is violence, their violence is speech.

2. "It's a rigged deal, folks. It's a rigged deal. I used to say it. It's a rigged deal. It's a disgrace." It's not entirely clear to me what Trump is referring to here -- whether he's reiterating that the FBI is biased or, more likely, casting aspersions on the whole system of government. Either way, he's fomenting (for political gain) the resentment that lots of people feel toward their government and toward societal establishment more generally.

Trump is provoking people to believe that there is some "they" out there working to keep you down. And enjoying doing it.

CNN has been promoting racial paranoia that "they" -- white cis men -- are working to keep you down. Their contributor, professional racist Marc Lamont Hill, pushes the idea that simply wearing a MAGA hat is a racial provocation which invites and excuses assault and robbery. CNN reporters routinely suggest that "they" are trying to "tear babies out of the arms" of Hispanic mothers.

And of course, once again the #FakeNews media pushes the #FakeNews, completely false meme that Trump's speech provoked a stalker with a seven year history of harassing and threatening the Capital Gazette into attacking them.

4. "They are so dishonest. Fake news. They're fake news media."

Eight days ago, a man walked into the Capital Gazette newsroom in Maryland and murdered five staffers. His motives were his own -- he held a grudge against the paper for its coverage of a criminal harassment claim against him -- and had nothing to do with Trump's repeated rhetorical attack on the media as "fake." Full stop. That said, one might think that in the wake of such violence committed against reporters, the President of the United States might be more mindful of savaging the media to a crowd of his supporters. That would be the responsible thing to do. That isn't what Trump did.

It's dangerous to claim that someone's political speech inspired a completely-unrelated shooting, you fat jellybean of a sissy fuckboy.

Number of times the media has examined the possibility that their own rhetoric inspired James Hodgkinson: Zero.
