Steve Scalise, A Target of Leftist Assasination Attempt: It Would Be Best to Restore Civility to Our Politics
Leftwingers: You Should Have Died When Our Pal Shot You Up

Aren't they sweet?

Twitchy adds an update to the Red Hen story: Mike Huckabee says that the owner of the Red Hen followed Sarah Sanders' in-laws out of her restaurant, then organized a protest against them at the next restaurant they went to.

And Sarah Huckabee weren't even with them at that point. Presumably, they'd gone home to avoid further harassment.

So this was purely a harassment of people who knew someone who worked for Trump.

Apparently the gyre is widening to include in-laws now.

Over at Hot Air, AllahPundit is blaming this, preposterously, on Trump.

Which, coincidentally enough, is also Nancy Pelosi's take on the matter.

Apparently a business owner may choose to turn his business into a vehicle for political harassment, and if someone like Sanders or Trump then draws attention to this -- fighting politics with politics -- it's... bad, I guess, because Polite Company Conservatives are supposed to accept that they are second-class citizens and deserving of public harassment.

Via Instapundit, David Harsanyi has a great take: People on the left have decided to take Twitter tactics to Real Life.

It should be noted that this kind of harassment isnít widespread in the real world, but it is widely rationalized, justified, and celebrated by liberals on social media...

It isnít only about child separation of illegal immigrants. Itís about tax cuts. Itís about Obamacare. Itís about long-standing conservative positions. According to many, Republicans are accomplices to murder. The hysterics that bloom with every debate are creating a swelling exasperation among Democrats that borders on religiosity. Apparently this excuses almost any behavior or rhetoric.

"If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station," said Rep. Maxine Waters, erstwhile outlier of the irrational hateful Left and now-hero of the Resistance, "you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere." Create a crowd, huh? Not welcome anywhere? That's a tough spot.

Now, should it even be said that if any conservative had called for mobs to badger Democrats when theyíre at the supermarket, the nation would be thrust into a national dialogue about the growing and perilous incivility on the Right. There would be a flood of anxious op-ed pieces and cable news roundtables featuring chin-stroking hypocrites contemplating the future of discourse in America. No one would be spared. Every Republican politician on Earth would be asked to condemn these comments.

Why am I speculating? This is exactly what happened during the peaceful Tea Party protests.

If the left pushes this too hard, and gets physical or threatening with the wrong (or right) person, they'll soon learn that real life is not, in fact, Twitter, for reasons I'm sure I don't have to spell out.
