Fourth Quarter Growth Revised Back Up to 2.9%, From Previous 2.5% Downgrade; Consumer Spending Surges
The 4th quarter number was initially estimated at 2.6%, then revised down to 2.5%, and now is revised up to 2.9%.
That is after 3.2% growth in the third quarter -- not as much of a slowdown from that pace as first thought. Unexpectedly.
