Well, Maybe Some Panic
streiff cautions people not to get too grandiose in imagining what's in The Memo, but is nevertheless happy to see the right people panicking. He collects up a lot of panicky tweets from Democrats and their Deep State spokesmen.
That's from Dick Blumenthal, the Senator from Rambo: First Blood Part 2, who did not serve in Vietnam, but did watch a couple of episodes of the A-Team, so he thinks he knows the gist of it.
Dan McLaughlin has a snappy rejoinder to Sergeant Rock over here:
Are the #SalonHot25 All-Stars and assorted Gay for Guys with Guns authority-worshipping #FakeNewsConservatives going to apologize to Molly Hemingway for trashing her for saying, correctly yet again, that there was panic in the air among the Democrats and Deep State?
I think we can now say, objectively, there is at least some "sweet smell of panic" in the air in DC, as streiff headlines his post.
streiff's post contains one tweet suggesting Ron Wyden is blackmailing the GOP, saying he'll release classified documents in response to #ReleasingTheMemo.
I think that's unfair, however -- Ron Wyden says he didn't mean that, and I think his denial is plenty plausible.
But Kerry Pickett (who did not suggest the "blackmail" angle; she was just reporting the quote and the controversy) is worth a read here, just to see the Democrats and Deep State spokesmen threatening fire and fury if their corrupt #Resistance is revealed.
And I like this:
House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, however, noted that the FISA memo "will be embarrassing" to Schiff.
I'm not sure Adam Schiff, who seems to wear about thirty coats of concealer under his eyes (of the color Clownstalker White, from the John Wayne Gacy collection), is capable of embarrassment, but here's hoping.
