The Morning Report 1/10/18

Good morning kids. The big story today, and far and away the most important issue facing us as Americans that will determine the fate of this nation, is immigration illegal and legal.

Yesterday, in a surprise move, the President held a meeting at the White House with political leaders in both parties to discuss the status of the so-called "DREAMers, the DACA executive order that has illegally kept them here, border security and the question of what is euphemistically called "comprehensive immigration reform" but in reality is Amnesty for at least 11 million and perhaps as many as 20 million foreign nationals here illegally. And by the way, stop the presses: the 9th Circus has illegally, with no Constitutional authority to do so, ordered the President to Reinstate DACA. Thank you, Marbury vs Madison for that one.

From just the tactical side, it was completely out of left field; the press was not only in the room but was actually broadcasting the meeting live which I cannot recall ever seeing before. The President exuded confidence, control, command of the facts and, contra the meme, his faculties. But, I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's get back to attempting to read the seams on the baseball.

First and foremost, this entire issue is what propelled candidate Trump into the White House in the first place. Speaking only for myself, yet confident my view also reflects the mindset of millions of others, compromising with Democrats only means slowing down the timetable of the destruction of the Republic, not the reversing of the trajectory. And on this issue, it's life and death.

My stance is hardline. If you are here illegally, you are a non-citizen, you are breaking our laws and you do not have any rights to be here at all. Period. Full stop. And that includes your children whether you spawned them here or used them as props and dragged them across the border with you as a human shield. The only thing that needs to be comprehensively reformed are the morals and character of those in office and in law enforcement, to wit enforce the damn laws that are already on the books, cut off all benefits to non-citizens and severely punish those who knowingly employ them.

But I digress, yet again. We have numerous links both admonishing and warning the President - and rightly so - that to even risk any sort of compromise on this issue is political suicide. But on the other side of the coin, Rush Limbaugh and William Jacobson are of the opinion that this was a brilliant political move on the part of PDT that had nothing to do with immigration at all; it was masterful political theater to suck the oxygen out of the Oprah rally and, more importantly, to explode the meme of the Michael Wolff fiction. And that is exactly what happened, intentional or not.

Look, over the past year there were several instances where I was in freak out mode that the President was going to break campaign promises and go along with the swamp, only to be proven wrong. And so, even as he rhetorically dances almost within a strawberry blonde pubic hair's width of the political third rail, I have to believe that he absolutely knows what he's doing and that there's no way he's going to do this. That said, assuming he is playing this as a ruse, to entrust crafting immigration legislation with a GOP led by Lindsay Graham-nesty and in the pocket of the Chamber of Commerce is something that scares the living hell out of me. I hope the President knows what he's doing in that regard.

In other news, Rep Desantis is asking Paul Ryno to declassify all the FBI and DoJ documents related to the Pee-Pee-Gate "Dossier" maguffin and Daniel Greenfield with another excellent article putting all the pieces together on how Hillary used the FBI to sabotage Trump before the election.

Lastly, circling back to the immigration issue, Hungary understands full well what unchecked migration can do to a country. It and several other former east bloc nations are not allowing the Muslim hordes to conquer them, unlike Western Europe which is up to its yet-to-be decapitated necks in it. And this is a lesson and a warning for us and this President. It is the number one reason why he was elected. I hope he's lurking.
