Conservative Appellate Court Star Alex Kozinski Resigns Amidst Multiple Sexual Harassment Allegations

If this name sounds familiar, you might be remembering a controversy that I think bubbled up during the Bush years, wherein Kozinsky was admonished for sharing off-color, even a little porn-ish, gifs and memes in his emails with colleagues.

This hurts the movement.

I take his resignation to mean he thought he was pretty much guilty. So it's proper that he should be out.

Nonetheless, it hurts. His personal behavior damaged the conservative legal community's position.

We previously discussed a controversy involving porn found on the computer of Alex Kozinski, then the Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He was later cleared of misconduct but admonished over his conduct.

Recently, however, Kozinski was accused of sexual harassment and improper touchings by over nine more women. Formal charges were brought against Kozinski and an investigation launched.

Kozinski has now resigned from the court.

On the plus side, Trump is nominating many highly qualified conservative-leaning justices, as he promised, some of them pretty young. I'm hoping for a couple of twenty year olds on the Supreme Court.
