The Morning Report 12/8/17
Good morning kids. The weekend is upon us and we're loaded with links. First up. Southern California is being ravaged by intense wildfires. Winds were reported of near hurricane force speed, causing fears of a firestorm. Prayers for the people, firefighters and first responders that they all stay safe and that they can get this thing under control as soon as possible.
The soft coup against President Trump and by direct extension we the people grinds on, yet is exposed more and more as the sham of the mockery of two mockeries of a fraud that it is. We knew it all along but the country now sees Mueller and his stooges as the absolute partisan hacks that they are. I think so far the President is playing this perfectly; yes, I would love to see him fire Mueller and the lot of them, but let it play out a while longer and then investigate him Comey, Clinton, Lynch, Obama and all the rest. Difficult to do when the instrumentalities of government are themselves so corrupted as to render them virtually useless in that very task.
And that corruption extends to every bureaucracy in DC, as we can see from the link about Leftist operatives still infecting over 100 embassies around the globe. That cannot be good for our foreign policy.
Amnesty is rearing its head yet again and there are several good links including Tucker Time, wherein TuCa wipes the floor with yet another Amnesty shill. The President specifically promised there will be no consideration at all of any form of Amnesty unless and until border security and the Wall are taken care of first. Considering his promises kept, including the yuuuge one about moving our embassy to Jerusalem, I don't see him caving - especially since this issue was the rock on which he built his campaign. In any case, as time goes on, I think his eyes have been opened about how DC operates and I cannot see him falling for another Simpson-Mazzoli swindle.
Then, there's Al Franken. He knows that the Democrat Party couldn't care less how many women he groped, assaulted and demeaned and that their getting rid of him is a political expediency. His "resignation" so-called was a narcissistic self-hagiography that approached Obama levels of egomania. He conditioned his exit upon what an ethics committee investigation will find "in the coming weeks" knowing full well that Roy Moore will more than likely win election in Alabama this Tuesday. The other tiny detail missing from his bloviating was an apology. Then again, why apologize if you're innocent. The depths of my revulsion are beyond my capacity to write them.
In tax bill news, you'll be thrilled to know that three leading lights of freedom, McCain, Collins and Rounds got the GOP to keep the death tax in their version of the bill. Severely conservative, they are, yessiree. Feh. No shock that 9 of the wealthiest 20 counties in all the land comprise the suburbs of Washington DC. As disgusting in its own way as Franken and his ilk in theirs.
From the Groperdammerung front came the somewhat surprising news about Harold Ford Jr. being free with his hands and now the unsurprising news that film director Brian Singer is being sued for allegedly raping, and forcible fellatio of a 17-year-old actor in 2003. At least in the porn industry, they do it all up on screen and that's what they're there for in the first place.
Ex-Argentinian President Kirchner may face arrest for covering up what she knew about the terrorist attack on a Buenos Aires Jewish center. Recall a few years back that a journalist or government official who was about to blow the whistle on her was assassinated before he could testify.
And lastly, the French ambassador took the time to recognize the 76th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor to rip America for not coming to France's aide earlier. Can you see the blood shooting from my eyes over that remark?
Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.
