The Morning Rant: J.V. Edition

When somebody asks me my opinion about the merits of glue-laminated beams vs. steel beams I just throw poo at them, because that's what I do best, and I don't know much about the other.

In the year since Donald Trump was elected, the entertainment world has been largely united in its disdain for his presidency. But a notable voice has been missing from the chorus: that of Taylor Swift, the world’s biggest pop star. Her silence is striking, highlighting the parallels between the singer and the president: their adept use of social media to foster a diehard support base; their solipsism; their laser focus on the bottom line; their support among the “alt-right”.

My knowledge of Taylor Swift's music is perfect. I cannot name a single song by her, and I certainly wouldn't recognize any of her music were I to hear it, which I won't. But what little I know of her impresses me. She is, by all accounts, a hard-headed businesswoman who carefully manages her brand to maximize profit. And she doesn't put up with dickheads grabbing her ass, unlike 99% of Hollywood's leading ladies who apparently allow themselves to be molested in return for juicy parts.

The guardian (it doesn't deserve a capital letter) goes on to smear Swift with the "racist" accusation, simply because most of her friends are White. Charming. And that's not all. They blather on with all sorts of innuendo, but very little in the way of actual fact.

One in particular I enjoyed very much. Damning her with faint praise, they say "She calls herself a feminist." Actually, she IS a feminist. She controls her own destiny, is subservient to no man, protects herself from attacks, and has built a successful career in a male-dominated business.

But because she doesn't spout the SJW talking points (or anyone else's) she is being vilified by a bunch of effete Brits who know so little about America that it is breathtaking. It is exactly their smug and superior tone that makes Americans dismiss their attempts at guiding the masses.

And the result? President Donald Trump.

I created "Medusa Magazine" and I am shutting it down because Feminist stupidity has surpassed satire

we are shutting down our rather hilarious project because we can no longer compete with our competition. We have come to realize that our competition is not other satirical websites, but rather the people we are trying to satirize. About a week ago, after a short hiatus from the website and in light of the recent sexual assault allegations currently afflicting Hollywood, we put out another article titled "Why we should believe women who accuse right wingers of rape more than those who accuse liberals". The article is a total caricature intended to be as ridiculous as possible, basically arguing that because liberals are good people, we should forgive them when they rape women. We thought no one in the world could possibly hold views as ridiculous as that, so we wrote it as satire and published it.
