Even More Women come Forward to Accuse Mark Halperin of Sexual Harassment
New accusers. Old tactics.
Another accuser, Diane Goldberg, has gone on the record.
Emily Miller says Halperin "attacked" her, but she didn't report it at the time because he was in a position of power and she was scared.
That seems to have occurred when Halperin was at ABC. Later, when he moved to NBC, he "debated" Emily Miller on gun control -- with a particularly lecherous glint in his eye, like he was trying to intimidate her through an eyefuck. Video at the link.
That's what Emily Miller thinks, too:
And we don't know who this is about, as Miller did not name her attacker here and only identified him as a "top exec" (which I don't think Halperin actually was).
But it is worth noting that Miller retweeted this October 15th tweet while her on-the-record accusation against Halperin was the huge media story:
And today she promises:
For his part, Halperin has been admirably consistent on sexual assault in the past:
Well, Mark, several women say you attacked them. One says you grabbed her breast, another says you rubbed your erection up on her.
Is that worse?
Oh: Halperin's publisher has cancelled the book deal they had with him, regarding a book on Trump.
"In light of of the recent news regarding Mark Halperin, the Penguin Press has decided to cancel our plans to publish a book he was co-authoring on the 2016 election."
Isn't it strange that those with power in the media have for so long been shielded from scrutiny by the media?
It's almost as if The Guild Protects Its Own.
