NFL Ratings Drop Again; Another Major Advertiser Cancels Ad Buy
Bye-bye.
Meanwhile, Outkick the Coverage quotes Disney president Bob Iger on why Jemelle Hill was not suspended for her outrageous political claims, even though Curt Schilling was fired for his: because she was just expressing what she "and ESPN were feeling."
[IGER:] "We need to take into account what Jemele and ESPN were feeling during this time."
Wasn't Curt Schilling expressing what he was feeling?
When Linda Cohn was suspended for saying ESPN was alienating viewers with its frequent leftwing political drama, wasn't she expressing what she was feeling?
Ah, I see: Jemelle Hill was expressing what ESPN itself was feeling, as a corporate entity, in addition to what she was feeling. Iger says so -- it was what Jemelle Hill and the entire corporation ESPN were "feeling" at the time.
Confirmed: ESPN is by self-definition a left-wing sports and politics organization, and less and less with the politics.
