Sources: Political Appointee Samantha Powers, Who, As Ambassador to the UN, Had No Obvious Intelligence-Analysis Role in Government, Made "Hundreds" of Unmasking Requests In the Closing Days of the Obama Administration, Averaging One Per Day

It was all just a coincidence that Obama's top political appointees were unmasking US citizens caught in intercepts, and then Obama just happened to change the rules to allow such information to be shared easily throughout government in his last days as Prezzy.

Samantha Power, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, was 'unmasking' at such a rapid pace in the final months of the Obama administration that she averaged more than one request for every working day in 2016 – and even sought information in the days leading up to President Trump’s inauguration, multiple sources close to the matter told Fox News.

Two sources, who were not authorized to speak on the record, said the requests to identify Americans whose names surfaced in foreign intelligence reporting, known as unmasking, exceeded 260 last year. One source indicated this occurred in the final days of the Obama White House.

One might suspect that she was using pretexts to engage in political spying, but that would be crazy conspiracy talk. Better to assume, as our super-pro-government Establishment Republican twitter idiots do, that this was all perfectly ethical, and not bother harboring any suspicions or asking any questions.

Because, of course, as all True Conservatives know, the most important precept in True Conservatism is assuming that government is always benevolent and that man is not fallen, but rather as innocent as the angels.
