The Morning Report 5/1/17
Good morning, kids. Wow, Monday already. May already! Meh, soon I'll be saying "57 already." With that, the top stories continue to be the brinkmanship on the Korean peninsula. Venezuela is on the verge of collapse; how appropriate for May 1st. It might behoove the President to help bring down Maduro and engage in some nation re-building. Unlike Iraq, Venezuela has a strong western, capitalist tradition, is in our hemisphere and has been alarmingly cozy with the Iranians. It really is in our best interests to intervene and liberate (not necessarily militarily) that country from the hell that is Socialism. It would also go a long way in breaking the back of the Castro regime, Evo Morales, Daniel Ortega and all the other socialist cockroaches in Latin America that President Reagan had once all but wiped out. Closer to home, our betters in Washington DC have passed a $1 trillion dollar spending deal to keep our government open for business through September (Heaven forfend it should shut down [even the phony/kabuki non-shutdown where 84% of the beast remains in operation]). You'll be happy to know that not only will Planned Parenthood's vital mission continue to be funded, but that the Border Wall will get gornischt. Chuck Schemer has praised the deal. Oh happy day. Somebody remind me again who won the last election. Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.
