The Morning Report 4/18/17
Richard E. Cole, 101, Last Surviving Member of the Doolittle Raiders
Good morning, kids. With two more US carriers steaming towards the Korean Peninsula, there's going to be a showdown. I don't think Fat Boy is going to back down and President Trump has shown himself to be the complete opposite of his predecessor when it comes to following through (both in golf and foreign policy). And up front I have chosen to mark the 75th anniversary of the Doolittle Raid on Tokyo. Look how far we have come and yet how far we have fallen in that time. We skewer and deride the younger generations and yet the finest among them are dropping MOABs in Afghanistan and 75 years to the day off the coast of a hostile Asian enemy that would wipe America off the map if it had the chance. Plus ca change. Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.
