Trump Meeting With... Romney
Yesterday there was some news that bank big Jamie Dimon was not interested in the job of Secretary of Treasury.
I imagine that if Trump is talking to Romney about any job, it would be this one. Romney's qualified for it, and I don't know what else he would be qualified for in a Trump government. (Note I mean "in a Trump government" specifically -- Trump and Romney disagree on two many other things for Romney to serve as, for example, head of the DHS or anything having to do with the border or foreign policy. But Treasury, I imagine, would present fewer conflicts.)
I doubt he'll offer him the job, though. He's probably just asking for names of people Romney respects in finance.
Update: Well, it turns out that the Hill is reporting they will be talking about a possible cabinet position for Romney. Treasury, I have to think.
Meanwhile, Michael Flynn has been said to have been chosen (note how evasive I am on stating that cleanly) as Trump's National Security Adviser, and James Clapper has announced he will be ending his terrible run as Director of National Intelligence at the expiration of Obama's term.
