Old and Busted: Trump Crashes Stock Market. New Hawtness: Trump Crashes Bond Market. [krakatoa]
The media will have their cake and eat it too.
Every headline during Obama's administration vis-a-vis the economy has been, of course, couched in the most glowing terms possible.
At least with a President Trump, we can expect a return to skeptical reporting on the economy. And by skeptical, I don't mean to imply the lying will stop in the least of course. It will just be lying in the other direction. When caught, they will simply point out how objective they are as they lie regardless of who is in the WH.
Reuters expects their casual readers to not understand.
And they expect their knowledgeable readers to just propagate the narrative regardless of reality.
Allow Reuters themselves rebut the tenor of their own headline:
Donald Trump's stunning victory for the White House may mark the long-awaited end to the more than 30-year-old bull run in bonds, as bets on faster U.S. growth and inflation lead investors to favor stocks over bonds.
