Study: Conservatives Are Generally Happier In Their Sex Lives Than Liberals

Conservatives have significantly better sex lives than their left-leaning rivals, a new survey has found. Of 19,000 respondents in Europe, 73% of right-leaning voters were happy with their sex lives, compared to 66% of lefties.

I was not going to mention this story, because I hate "studies' and doubt the ones that validate "my" Tribe as well as all the others; however, Glenn Reynolds really just explains it so simply that it makes it worth mentioning:

Leftist politics in general is mostly just compensation for (usually justified) feelings of personal inadequacy.

I've said similar things; I'd say leftist politics is not really a politics, primarily, but a psychological coping mechanism against a world that seems out to make you miserable.

If I can quote my friend quoting what he half-remembers of Nietzsche: If all the world seems full of evil and ill, and you find similar unhappiness in every city you visit, you might ponder the possibility that the problem lies in the traveler and not the places traveled to.

I can't give you a real quote because he can't really remember it so I have no idea of what keywords to search for. But he kinda-sorta remembers reading something like that 20 years ago, when he was nine. (He's my contemporary.)

One really cannot read Marx without realizing, quickly, that this guy is not really talking about politics at all; he is hyperemotional and raging at the world and "society" and his low place in it; he is embittered and envenomed, and spitting out venom at all the world around him.

The heart of Marxism is simply a psychological malady, and those attracted to it share that same psychological malady. Misery loves company, but misery even more loves manifestos, fairy tales that tells them their rotten spirits and bad brains are someone else's fault.
