Nigel Farage: It Looks Like Remain Will Edge Out Leave in #Brexit Vote
A bunch of indicators suggest Remain has won: a YouGov poll puts it at 52% Remain, 48% Leave; bookmakers work out the odds as 84% likely that the country has voted to Remain; and the markets are all rising (and markets like stability and for some reason super-national socialist governments).
Update [Maet]: In the few returns so far the votes have been split nearly 50-50. But Remain seems to be consistently underperforming expectations and Sunderland went strongly for Leave. If this trend continues, it's likely Leave will prevail.
Only about 2% of the votes have been counted so far. The first large area results will be available in 3 to 4 hours so we'll know then if the trend is holding. You can follow the results at the Telegraph election page.
Lindsay Lohan is also live-tweeting the referendum here.
Update 2 [Maet]: It's still very early but you have this tweet:
Senior labour figure tells me 'this has gone, Leave to win' - Don't jump up and down with joy or in despair, it's early and it's one source
