Eh. I think the problem is that we still think narcissistic exhibitionism via social media is cool, much like the primitive humans in the Hitchhiker's series still thought digital watches were cool.

Don't get me wrong; I also am opposed to her political belief on this. But the current furor (which is, let's face it, mostly bullshit emotionalism, like every other goddamn thing these days) is over her tactic and mode of expression.

So putting aside the gun issue itself, we're talking about posting selfies showing your Sadz in order to inarticulately comment on something happening right now.

Human beings still haven't gotten around to realizing that this New Thing, like most New Things throughout history, is stupid and almost entirely without merit.
