Gone In a Flash: State Department Deletes Jen Psaki's Admission that Her Predecessor Lied About Nuke Deal
James Rosen, in 2013, confronted Jen Psaki about a lie the Administration was peddling -- that they had only begun nuke talks with Iran after the "moderate" Rouhani was elected.
This was a double lie. Rouhani was never a "moderate." And the Administration had been in secret nuke discussions since before his election.
The fact of this lie was confirmed by a bragging Ben Rhodes in that explosive New York Times Magazine profile.
In 2013, Jen Psaki actually admitted that sometimes the Administration lies-- supposedly just to protect diplomatic secrets.
And then suddenly -- poof! -- that bit of tape was deleted from State Department archives with a white-flash cut (that is, the cut is badly disguised with a white flash).
The video is back up, after rising questions from the press about it. The Administration still can't offer an explanation of who deleted the material or why, or why it was then put back when it was noticed.
