Student Leaks University Quiz to Determine How "Privileged" You Are, And How Often You "Microaggress"
This apparently was part of the course materials for a university course on.... HR.
Yes, apparently colleges now teach you how to be a Human Resources bureaucrat. As if enough time wasn't being wasted in HR, now we're giving college credits in How To Tell People Where the Copy Machine Refills Are.
Like most bullshit fields in need of an actual purpose, this degree in Human Resources -- and serious, are you kidding me? -- is the most easily co-opted by the Social Justice Warriors.
The weakest members of the herd always get the sickest.
English literature and various arts studies -- always lacking an underlying theoretical rigor (which they can't really have, since art is subjective) -- were the first to be destroyed, as the field of literature (at a scholarly level) was infected with one "theory" of literature after another -- ultimately becoming just post-modernist and infected by "critical theory," which is just Marxism without the tedious emphasis on economics.
You don't need a math credit to do "critical theory" of gender. That's why they invented it. To be Marxism for Gurlz.
And so this is now what little Hitler Middle Adulthood members to be are being taught.
"I was told as a white woman it's insulting and a microaggression for me to cover or sing a Rihanna song because I'm not from Barbados," a student who was in the class told me. "I was literally told to go sing the Star-Spangled Banner."
The student, who asked not to be identified, sent me copies of both assignments – including a 100-item checklist to determine how much "privilege" you have....
The student who reached out to me wants to work in human resources ---and the class is mandatory.
"They teach you that if you are not part of the minority you cannot be discriminated against," she said. "A black person cannot be racist to a white person. A female cannot be sexist towards a man because men are the majority."
Here’s a sampling of the 100-question privilege checklist:
· I am white.
· I have never been told I would “burn in hell” for my sexual orientation.
· I still identify as the gender I was born in.
"Still!" Get with the times, brother/sister!
· I work in a salaried job....
· I have had an unpaid internship.
· I don’t know what “Sallie Mae” is.
· I have frequent flier miles....
· My parents are heterosexual....
· I have never been called a terrorist.
· I have never questioned any of my identities....
· I've always had cable.
The useless-idiots-in-training were then asked to judge a "scenario" as to whether a "microagression" speechcrime had taken place. Here's a good one:
· "I think true marriage is between a man and a woman because that's what the Bible says, but I respect everyone's choices." (A woman discussing marriage equality in a classroom discussion).
"That blew my mind," the student told me -- referring to the gay marriage question. "If I'm asked my opinion, I can't say it because it’s offensive?"
The student said there was a "huge" classroom discussion about the issue.
"The professor said if it (your opinion) hurts others you should question those views -- specifically the Bible," she said. "The professor said we should question the Bible and question where those views came from."
Might I question where the professor's views derive from?
And if you're thinking "Well at least they're not teaching this risible white-hating nonsense to middle schoolers," then feller*, have I got some bad news for you.
* I don't mean "feller" as in fellow, as that would be a microagression against Persons of Vage.
I meant "feller" as in "tree-feller." I've always been racist against fellers, and I assume they're always thinking things that are untrue.
