Paris Terrorist, Hunted by European Police Since November Attacks, Shot and Arrested in Brussels
The police have been searching him since shortly after the Bataclan attacks.
A wanted suspect in the Paris terror attacks who had been on the run since November reportedly was "caught alive" Friday during an anti-terror raid in Molenbeek, Belgium, a Brussels neighborhood, according to local media.
Police tell Fox News one of the two injured suspects "looks like" 26-year-old Salah Abdeslam. French president Francois Hollande told reporters in Brussels he would not give details on the "operation that is under way."
Hollande confirmed that the person being sought was linked to the Paris attacks but that any speculation over the fate of the individual would run counter to efforts "to stop or neutralize this individual." Investigators found Abdeslam's fingerprints in a nearby apartment they raided on Tuesday, a Belgian prosecutor said.
Per Le Fig, the Belgian Prime Minister abruptly left a summit about the migration problem, and the French President is currently talking with him. So, despite Hollande's protestations, it looks like a very big fish has been caught.
This says he was shot in the leg during a raid on a terrorist's nest yesterday. His fingerprints and DNA were also found at that apartment.
