The Happiness Thread [FenelonSpoke]

Open thread for non-happy things directly below. This post for Happy things and friendly talk only.

In case you hadn't noticed, dear horde, things have been rather stressful in the AoSHQ community lately. ;^) What with emotions running high over the election and strong feelings about the candidates we support, as well as the current direction of our country it's not exactly picnic time by a lazy river on a warm summers day. When you couple that with anxiety over jobs, finances, health concerns, etc things can sometimes feel overwhelming.

However, to be in a constant state of stress and fear about the future is not a healthy thing for ourselves or anyone else we have to live or interact with. You know one thing that helps with stress? -- laughter and a smile. Enjoy this video of laughing babies which our internet friend, Backwards Boy, posted this morning



It's also good if you can to be reminded of the simple blessings in your life. Although not everyone here is a person of religious faith, here is some good advice offered from Saint Paul in the New Testament:

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable -- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy -- think about such things.

Phillippians 4:8

When you think of lovely, praiseworthy, admirable things what comes to mind? What are you grateful for today? What brings a smile in your life?

Can you think of some things which promote happiness which you can share with others today -- Any links, pictures, stories which help lift your spirit and which may lift the spirits of others?

And wisdom to know the difference.

I try not to say too much in these threads because I want others to speak more than I do.
