Manhunt Underway For Ex-Marine Who Put Six Bullets Into Pastor Who Prayed With Cruz

It seemed potentially political to me when I posted it last night.

Now that we police are seeking an ex-Marine in the shooting -- and a man who apparently has no actual connection to the pastor (or they would mention that) -- it seems a little bit more likely it's political.

Although, one should always keep in mind that for every twenty shootings that look like they might have some political motive behind them, only one or two turn out to actually have such a motive.

Be on the lookout, Idaho citizens:

Odom is 6 feet tall, weighs about 170 pounds and has blond hair and blue eyes.

Why do I suspect this might be political? Well, Idaho is a wonderful state, and very conservative. It does have, however, a thriving white supremacist underculture.

But... Commenters are suggesting this could just be some human wreckage the pastor previously tried to help, as part of his outreach efforts to addicts or other unfortunates.

That's true. Absolutely, like I said, of all shootings that have the appearances of a possible political motive, only like 5-10% actually have such a motive. 90-95% it's something that's personal, idiosyncratic, or just lunatic.

Still, something to keep your eyes open for. Either way, this scumbag needs to put in jail or put in the ground.
