Sarah Palin: Boy That Ted Cruz Sure Is Unlikable Isn't He?
There's a lot of speculation that Palin is Trump's mystery special guest in Des Moines, Iowa, today, including this bit of chartered airplane route detective work.
In response, Cruz' spokesmen -- not Cruz -- said they'd be "deeply disappointed" in Palin if she did endorse Trump, then offered reasons for such (hypothetical) disappointment.
It was pretty mild stuff, really -- all about Trump's lack of conservative bona fides, and not about Palin.
But of course Palin has to take everything hyper-personally because, as the Scorpion said, that's her nature, so now we have this...
...with Sarah Palin linking her daughter Bristol's post attacking Ted Cruz for his lack of loyalty or whatever to the woman who's about to endorse his rival.
Palin's "Cruz is unlikable" line just happens to mirror a Trump slam:
"I don't think Ted Cruz has a great chance, to be honest with you," Trump told ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos in an interview on “This Week” Sunday. "Look, the truth is, he's a nasty guy. He was so nice to me. I mean, I knew it. I was watching. I kept saying, 'Come on Ted. Let's go, okay.' But he's a nasty guy. Nobody likes him. Nobody in Congress likes him. Nobody likes him anywhere once they get to know him. He's a very –- he's got an edge that's not good. You can't make deals with people like that and it's not a good thing. It's not a good thing for the country. Very nasty guy."
I mean, that is basically the exact same thing Palin is claiming -- Cruz appeared to be nice, but wow, what an unlikable guy.
Nobody likes him, you know.
I think this all kind of cinches this deal up nice and neat -- yes, Palin will be endorsing Trump.
