Lois Lerner Wanted to Investigate... Bristol Palin

Just a nonpartisan civil servant, and we must thank her for her service.

USA Today has this quote from Lerner, from one of her hitherto "unrecoverable" emails:

"Look my view is that Lincoln was our worst president not our best," she told a friend in 2014, after she left the IRS. "He should (have) let the south go. We really do seem to have 2 totally different mindsets."

Lerner is obviously an intense progressive partisan and should never have been in a position where she could unleash her inner political demons on private citizens.

But I think Obama viewed her malicious partisanship as a feature, not a bug.
