Movie House Massacre Verdict: James Holmes is Guilty of Murder in the First Degree (on Likely all Deaths)
Just being read right now. They're reading the verdict for each murder. It seems unlikely that they would suddenly find a single victim to have not been a murder in the first degree.
Now they're going through the list again, finding him guilty of "murder in the first degree with extreme indifference [to human life]," which I'm going to assume makes him death-penalty-eligible.
One bizarre thing: The foreman was a Columbine shooting survivor, who actually went to prom with one of the dead of Columbine.
Why keep him on the jury? Not that I weep for James Holmes -- it's that I'm afraid this is sort of big avenue of appeal, isn't it?
I'm sure the guy said he could be impartial and all that, but.... I dunno. Why chance it?
