Good evening one and all.

We will have live results county-by-county tonight here for the Republican primary, and vote totals for the Democratic one.

I expect LaHood to win this race, but I also expected Cantor to survive his challenge from Brat. Polls close at 8pm EDT, and we expect returns to roll in shortly thereafter.

Mike Says... he's "cautiously optimistic," but that's just based on anecdotal talk from his troops.

Well... This Is Sad. Cass County came through for Mike -- 5 votes to 3 -- so he got on the board with that 2 vote win.

But:

I'm a little sad, but, honestly, it's kind of what I expect. This is why I have been very down on America for so long: people are just disengaged, and don't seem to care, and even the people supposedly fighting the entrenched establishment take $800,000 for them, and people who pretend to oppose the establishment are okay with that.

Where apathy reigns, evil profits.
