ISIS Warns Female Supporters To Stop Praising Jihadists Online; Female Attention May Cause Waswasah, or "Whispers of Satan"

And the cure to temptation is, per the ISIS rule book, rape.

A message online signed by Abu Sa’eed Al-Britani, believed to be a onetime supermarket worker in south England who ran off to join ISIS, draws from his video "Message Of A Mujahid."

Addressed to "sisters on social media," Abu Sa’eed notes "every man needs the comfort of a woman besides him (sic), so praising a Mujaahid online does more damage than good."

The issues with women continue, as he claims “the biggest fitnah for a man is a woman.”

“Just having a sister follow you on Facebook or Twitter is a fitnah which triggers waswasah [whispers of Satan] in his mind. Even if a man was married to four women, a fifth can also cause him fitnah. Imagine being the cause for a Mujaahid slipping in his intentions. Even a passing thought of riya [showing off] is sufficient to damage all his good deeds. So my sisters, please be considerate when following Mujaahideen online."

He goes on like that.

And speaking of totalitarian religious cults with bizarre cult taboos about sex, Social Justice Warriors are demanding trigger warnings for Ovid's Metamorphoses, because Of Course.

In Columbia University's student newspaper, four members of the school's student Multicultural Affairs Advisory Board call on professors to be more sensitive when teaching provocative or controversial material... such as the Roman classical poet Ovid....

The op-ed writers suggest this ancient Greek and Roman myth is too triggering to be taught in today's classroom:

During the week spent on Ovid’s "Metamorphoses," the class was instructed to read the myths of Persephone and Daphne, both of which include vivid depictions of rape and sexual assault. As a survivor of sexual assault, the student described being triggered while reading such detailed accounts of rape throughout the work. However, the student said her professor focused on the beauty of the language and the splendor of the imagery when lecturing on the text. As a result, the student completely disengaged from the class discussion as a means of self-preservation. She did not feel safe in the class. When she approached her professor after class, the student said she was essentially dismissed, and her concerns were ignored.

Oh dear. To ignore the ignorant, what a trigger!

You know who's the biggest victim of illiberal speech squelching, it turns out...? Bill O'Reilly. See, when people criticized him for attacking Pam Geller's speech, that was in fact attacking his speech. He made a "cogent" argument, he claims, which was omitted from the criticisms of him, thus rendering it "dishonest."

As Mary Katharine informs him to his face (well, to a tv monitor of his face): When someone's being shot at for their speech, all discussion of the particular merits of their speech is irrelevant.

So she just censored him, too. Another Internet Smear Merchant.

There are a lot of self-important, insecure idiots who take all disagreement with them as disrespect, insult, and even violence. Social Justice Warriors do that; President Obama is so small-minded he cannot even imagine that there could exist good-faith, well-founded objections to whatever it is he's decided to do this week.

Add O'Reilly to that list of people for whom disagreements are essentially Social Crimes.
