President Bullworth Truthbomb: Republicans Criticizing Me For My Constant Euphemism and Apologism Are Actually Aiding the Enemy
Now, I'm saying this is a Bullworth Truthbomb, but I don't know if it's really that. I don't know if Obama really believes this crap, or, as usual, he's willing to just say anything to justify his cowardice and incompetence.
As Allah said: "And here we go."
Those who identify the black-clad extremists with their religious roots, the commander-in-chief argued repeatedly, are peddling a "lie" that will drive recruitment by the nation’s enemies and ultimately hurt U.S. interests. "These terrorists are desperate for legitimacy. And all of us have a responsibility to refute the notion that groups like ISIL somehow represent Islam, because that is a falsehood that embraces the terrorists' narrative," he said, using the U.S. government's preferred acronym for ISIS, which is also known as the Islamic State.
But he did not stop there. A day after talking about the "debate in the press and among pundits”"over terminology, he accused others in the public sphere Thursday of aiding the terrorist cause by highlighting the connection between Islamic teachings and Islamic State's tactics, which include rape, beheadings, crucifixions and slavery. "That narrative sometimes extends far beyond terrorist organizations," he continued. "That narrative becomes the foundation upon which terrorists build their ideology and by which they try to justify their violence, and that hurts all of us, including Islam and especially Muslims who are the ones most likely to be killed."
Obama said that the claim that there is a war between Islam and the West is a lie, but very few people actually say that. True, there are some, including commenters here, who will say that this is indeed a holy war between all of Islam and Christendom (well, actually, the whole world); but that is a minority viewpoint.
Obama is, as usual, employing a technique called, get this, lying. The Idiot Prince does love his strawmen and his demagoguic lies.
What most people say, of course, is that there is very definitely a war between radical Islamism and the West. That is undeniable. They prove this virtually every day now by committing some barbarity intended to shock us. Every single day they mount a grim Theater of Terror just to let us know that they intend to "march on Rome" (sometimes they mean Rome literally, usually they just mean it to stand in for "where you live") and cut each of our heads off while praising their God of Murder.
Obama doesn't want to admit any of this, because Obama wishes to do nothing about it; to highlight the problem would be to impose the need for a solution, and Obama was not elected to solve problems for America. He was elected to cause problems for America. Whatever president succeeds him can bother with this silly "national security" shit. The God King Obama has a greater ambit.
The Hill tweeted out the same story, and I thought this guy had the right response to it:
Speaking of right responses: Someone asked Bobby Jindal if he would repudiate Giuliani's remarks and he responded thus:
