Write a Paragraph of Brian Williams' Autobiography
"There we were, 'The Wild Bunch': Little Texas, Hutch, Mad Mike, and myself. There was a full moon, but the dense jungle north of Mosul was black as ink. We humped-it for 20 clicks, finally reaching the Do Lung bridge at 0-dark-thirty. Hutch lit a cigarette just as the firefight began. Charlie had been camped out below the bridge. Bullets and RPG's flew past. Tracers looked like some kind of space-age ray weapon. Mad Mike was the first to go down. Then Hutch fell, as I began my stand-up report. I had to cut it short when Little Texas caught a round in the ass and put down the camera. At that point, I knew what I needed to do: I gathered up all three men in my arms and carried them across the bridge to safety. Through the slats in the bridge I could see down the tube of an RPG as a rocket flew past. Thankfully, we made to the other side. I walked out of the desert that day wiser and more wary but without a scratch."
