Big Feminism Continues Focusing on Universal Issues, Namely, The Preoccupations and Neuroses of 40-60 Year Old Western White Women Who Have Body Panic

Negative Body Image You Guys.

I don't mean to poke at the plus-sized women with this post. Instead, my annoyance is that we apparently have a "Politics" now constructed with the sole purpose of reassuring 40+ Western White Women that they're All That and a Side of Chips and that If He Don't See That, He Don't Deserve You (Snap Snap Snap).

Somewhere along the way, Feminism went from claiming, with some justification, that beauty should not be the defining virtue for women (just as it is not the defining virtue for men), to claiming instead that Literally every woman alive is in fact "beautiful," with "beautiful" defined as "just the way you are, Baby."

This is not "Politics." This is the You Go Girl column from Cosmopolitan.

This song must be killed with fire.

You know who wrote that awful song, by the way? This terrible woman here.

We should have known, when we first heard that awful, terrible horrible song, that that woman would not stop until she had committed further atrocities.
