Obama: Protesters Must Keep Shutting Down Highways If They Want Social Justice
I don't see any other way to read these remarks made to BET, stating that a country's "conscience" is often trigged by "inconvenience."
These "inconveniences" are "necessary" for change and justice, he claims.
Keep that in mind the next time these malcontents keep you bottled up in gridlock for an hour.
He also says that "power" -- which he has a great deal of, and has illegally grabbed a great deal more -- never makes a concession without being forced to.
One of Obama's frequent tactics is criticizing government -- urging government to do this, or refrain from that -- as if he were a spectator to its operations, rather than the director of them.
Here, he actually seems to be saying that we need to have another one of those Great National Discussions on Race, but once again encourages others to have it.
Obama once again votes present and will only agree that such a discussion should be had.
But he ain't having it himself.
