Howdy morons. I'm back from my little vacation so you're stuck with me again. Hope y'all had a good Thanksgiving.

Oil Price Effects

Interesting to note the geopolitical impact of cheap oil.

The big losers from falling oil prices include several countries that are not friends of the US and its allies, such as Venezuela, Iran, and Russia. These countries are heavily dependent on their oil revenue to support their governments’ spending – especially massive transfer programs. Even at $75 or $80 a barrel, these governments will have a difficult time financing the populist programs that they need to maintain public support.

Star Wars

So the new Star Wars teaser trailer debuted today (Ranking the teaser trailers for all seven Star Wars movies). Not too shabby but then again, it is just a teaser. At least there wasn't an overabundance of lens flares or Jar-Jar Binks.

A-10's return to Iraq. Just a dozen of them but without proper targeting and intelligence, it'll be mostly for show.

Vodka Turkey

The vodka-infused turkey sounds about right for the horde. Might have to try this for Christmas.

Frederick Wilson II

Frederick Wilson is smarter than every Ferguson protester, every celebrity, and every politician that has been outraged by the verdict.

While referring to a separate incident from Brown's, he refers to another shooting in which a black man charged two cops and was shot as a result.

"Why would you think it's a good idea to run up on two cops when they tell you to stop [and] put down whatever you got? I'm gonna keep coming at them, then they gonna shoot me. Now as black people, we supposed to be mad and Ohmygod, Ohmygod, we need to go out there and march! No we don't. No we don't. No we don't. Stop doin' crime."
