Linda Greenhouse, the former NYTimes Supreme Court reporter and current NYTimes occasional legal writer, has officially lost her mind.

Sen. Cruz's proposal to strip the citizenship from the worst Americans (i.e., terrorist Americans) is legally dubious. Suggesting that Congress has the power to decide whether an American has revoked his own citizenship by any means other than an actual, voluntary revocation seems like a bad idea in an age when progressives increasingly chatter about things like "economic patriotism." Also, it seems weird to say strip their citizenship so they can't come back, as Rick Moran does. If we knew enough to affirmatively revoke a terrorist's citizenship and spot his attempt at return, you'd think we'd know enough to just prosecute the bastard for being a terrorist.

The Walking Dead is getting a spinoff.
