Disturbing: 8 Families in Orange County Have Had Porcelain Dolls Left On Their Doorsteps Which Resemble the Young Girls Actually Living There

"No crime yet," the reporter says, which I suppose is true.

I mean, who ever thought to outlaw "covertly leaving porcelain dolls resembling children living at that home?"

11 dolls have been found so far. But they say 8 families were targeted -- I suppose this means that some families had dolls deposited twice, or had multiple dolls left their to indicate multiple girls living in the home.

One thing I think may be exaggerated is how "closely" these dolls "resemble" the girls. They appear to be mass produced, so there's no way they can be very close resemblances.

However, if the Doll Man left a blonde doll for a blonde girl, and a brunette doll for a brunette, that would, I think, scare any parent and alarm any cop, justifiably.

If the Doll Man is exercising that kind of choice, then he's deliberately sending the signal that he's looking at these particular girls, and knows what they (basically) look like. That would be a close enough resemblance for red-alert alarm.
