Gaming Thread Done Quick 6/22/2014

Like in real life, I'm gonna be quick

It's that time for the summer edition of Speed Demos Archive's Games Done Quick speed running marathon. Like last year, they're raising money for Doctors Without Borders. Will they be able to top the one in January where they raised more than a million dollars?

Here is the schedule of all 165 hours I believe, my math is fuzzy

I totally planned to embed the stream above the fold but I figure I would save people from twitch locking folk's computers up as Twitch is running even worse than normal

Oh and the Steam Summer sale is going on right now. Crap deals is crap deals and if you miss any of the flash or dailies, just wait till the last day were you can buy them again.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War (PS3,PS4,PC,360,XB1) - Graphically the game looks amazing but they've been shying away from showing much gameplay and unlike Child of Light, they didn't lift the release date on reviews. Don't get me wrong, I'm very interested in it with it being done by Montpellier (Rayman series) but I'm gonna wait till the reviews start hitting before I pick it up. Hope it doesn't suck as war dogs and WWI are barely utilized in videogaming.

Grid Autosport (PC, 360, PS3) - Very nice to see a new entry of this under-rated series from Codemasters (though I'd rather see the return of TOCA Race Driver. Also no current gen release is a real bummer. So PC release it is. And hey, they finally brought back cockpit view (only way to play a racing game).
