The C-Word: FoxNews Poll Shows Plurality Believes George W. Bush More "Competent" Than Obama

Question 14, and you have to scan down quite a ways for it: 42%, which is just about Obama's Die Hard Progressive Base (and floor for support), says Obama is more competent.

48% -- a near majority -- says Bush was more competent.

7% say "same as," which is damning too, given that Bush is largely despised as incompetent except in the realm of Blowin' Up Buidlings without anyone noticing.

This is like 7% of the public saying you are merely "as gay as" Samwise Gamgee. Not a strong vote for your heterosexuality.

18% of Democrats say Bush was more competent than Obama!

When they compare Obama to Bill Clinton, it's a real blowout: 18% say that Obama was more competent, and 68% say Bill Clinton was more competent.

I think the public is finally on the same page we've been since 2008.
