Never pass out drunk before you have anything on paper

NEWS
• In this new gen of consoles, Microsoft strikes first with bundling a game with the console. They're releasing a limited run of TitanFall branded console box. Other than giving away a free copy of TitanFall, I don't see the point of this (as people would be buying both at this point anyways) but okay I guess.
• For an IP they don't own and it's not exclusive to them, Microsoft really is going all out to pimp TitanFall.
• SEGA slashing profit forecast by just over a third. I own two pachinko machines, I've got no room for more :(
• On one hand, Konami has dropped the price on the "next" gen retail release of Ground Zeroes to $30 to make it on par with the digital release. On the other, that was on the hot heels that it came out that this is what everyone expected, a demo that's about 2 hours long.
• So Dean Hall, creator of DayZ is bouncing from the project by the end of the year. Should be interesting in how far along the game is when that happens as it's in a very rough alpha shape atm.
• EU is still trying to save you from you by looking at Free to Play games. This is way out of my wheel house and I couldn't get anyone to respond when I tried to ask some questions but this sounds to me that this is more encompassing than just going after the F2P market.
• GOP gonna GOP. Now, if the GOP wants to get rid of the tax break for the videogame industry, sure fine but when you frame it that making "violent" videogames makes you disqualified, I Can't help but read it as"Dear young people, FUCK YOU".
• We finally get a release date for the upcoming Trials Fusion, out of April 16th for PC, 360, Xbox One and PS4.
• YAY! Finally getting an official English release of the first Shin Megami Tensei game. It's hitting the iOS on March 18th for $7.99.
• So Swrve released a paper saying that 0.15% of mobile gamers pay about 50% of all in-game purchases. Whales, I'm okay with you for making gaming cheaper.

Stuff I've been playing
This game called Out There came out last week on iOS and damn is it a good little game. It's a mash of space exploration/resource management and random events. For $4, it's a lot of bang for the buck.
Also in the Xbox One update preview thing so I've been testing that out and it fixes most of the quibbles people have with the UI and features outside of no external HDD support :(
Also got to play some Plants VS Zombies: Garden Warfare and if EA's servers weren't crap, that game would be a ton of fun. It needs a balance patch but the few rounds I did get to play is a really competent game and quite a bit of fun.

New Releases
South Park: The Stick of Truth (PS3, 360, PC) - After countless delays due to the whole THQ going tits up, Obsidian's game finally comes out. And since the US is cooler than everyone else, all of the versions here are being released uncut.
Walking Dead: Season 2: Episode 2 (PC, PS3) - Well, at least it didn't take 4 months for a new episode of this to be released like the Fables game. Wonder if this one will be an hour long like the second episode of Fables.
Awesomenauts Assemble (PS4)- A console finally gets a version of Awesomenauts that is up to date. Could never get into this game myself but I know it has it's fans.
I really need to get my priorities straight when it comes to drinking on the weekend.
