Saturday Car Thread - [Niedermeyer's Dead Horse]

Until someone more knowledgeable than myself takes over, I'll post a weekly car thread. Don't expect much re spark plugs, intakes, or carburetors, but I'll make an effort.

Concept car news:

Toyota reveals their new FV2 concept car and I can't help thinking that I've seen it before.

The most scrumptious cars:

Tom and Betty's in Jax, Fl. My favorite is the Laser. It's ham, roast beef, and turkey with swiss on three pieces of french toast.

A major accident waiting to happen:

Because having the driver behind the wheel of a 10-ton truck, watching everything but the road, is what passes for good police work these days.

Because what would a Saturday be without a few elbows?

And, finally:

The Cowboy Junkies Trinity Session fast became my favorite album when released in 1988 and now, some 25 years later, remains my all-time favorite album. It's not music for bright Summer days. It's music meant for those nights when it's raining and you're kicked back with a drink. Better, it's meant for those long drives down a dark road when it's just you, the asphalt, and a longing for home. It's not a good vid, but that's all the better. Close your eyes and enjoy.
